If you go into the deep woods very late at night
you might see a Velvet worm lurking under the
big leaves. It has two long sensitive feelers toprobe around in the darkness, soft stumpy legs and it’s body is covered in tiny bumps. It would give me the heebie jeebies!
A Velvet Worm attacks its prey with its two nozzles
on the sade of its hard. It can shoot streams of stickyglue which traps the cricket so the worm can eat it.
