Market day recount

In our trade and enterprise groups we had to have three partners to do the market. because you can’t do the market without any friends. and so first we had to make sure that kids came to see that if some of the kids wanted to buy some.

first we had to set up our market were the year 5’s area is. and we were setting up so that kids could come and see what we were making and we couldn't sell until after morning tea so we had morning tea and then When the 2nd bell went for morning tea we had to go back to class and wait for the teachers to say go to your trade and enterprise group’s and so we went. to our trade and enterprise group’s. and when we got inside some kids came and went to buy some food and things the food and the things are the cupcakes, the loom bands, also some candles and some drums.

there were lots of customers that wanted to buy loom bands and even in the corner where room 9 is they were selling loom bands as well but theirs was different Then the loom band makers.

we got lots of pt”s and pieces. because first they went to go and see how much was their things, then some of them came to the loom band makers and they said how much are your loom bands and then we said it was for 1pt for the large loom band and 2pt for the extra loom band.

so when we were finish our market and all our staff was all sold out we started cleaning up and putting the tables back where it was. and it was so fun when we had the market day.

Walt:write an effective recount.

  In the holidays my family went to the zoo to see the elephant.

When we got to the zoo, we went to the shop to buy some food for lunch.
After getting the food we went to the nocturnal house where we saw birds and reptiles which only come out at night.
Before lunch we went for a ride on the train. It was so cool when we went on the train it was fun. 
During lunch we fed some of the birds in the park. In the afternoon we saw the animals being fed.
When we returned home we were tired but happy because we had so much fun.

Holiday Writing

In the School holidays me and my family went to go see my cousin’s, we had to sleep the night there. and then in the morning me and my mum had to go to the shop and Get some milk and some bread so we could make toast and cup of tea.

and At lunch time we had some lunch, then we went to GI pools for a swim and When we got into the pools we went in the midden pool, we just played in there for 2 hours and in the pool my big cousin polly told me if I want to hop on to her.

solders and my cousin amria hopped on top of her sisters solders and then we were playing. a game and it was called who could stay underwater for long. and then me and my cousins went into the cold pool and When we got in there it was cold! , then we had to stay in there for 1 hour and then we had to get out.
but in the cold pool it was warming us up and it wasn't cold to us, so  we just played tag and then we told my   big cousin’s if they want to play  another game and they said yep, so we played a game.

and you have to go under the water and under the trump, and me and my cousin amria sat on top of the trump and my other cousins went under the trump.and when you go under it your ears get blocked by the water. and after we had to get out of the pool.

and we had to go into the changings room’s and get change. then after we went outside and we hopped in the truck and we left the pools. and we stopped at the shop to get something, then we went back home and me and my mum, sister, and my nana. had to stay over my cousins house for six days, then we went back to my house and we just went to my nana’s house.

and we stayed there for 2 days and it was so fun in the holidays. then on friday we had to go to my Dad's house and my mum dropped me and my sister off to our dads. and in the weekend we went to a birthday out to west because it was my cousin's birthday  and they were turning five years old.

When we got to the birthday we saw lots and lots of people and kids and then we went inside and it was a school, a maori school but I didn't know what was it called.  and some of my aunts were there and there was a bouncy castle there and a little park. and At the birthday there was i face paint and in the library there was some costumes and you could take photos and even take funny photos.

and then after we took photos it was time for a feed and when we had a feed there were lots of red little sausages and minus and even little mini cupcakes, there were blue, red yellow, green, regular cupcakes. and then after we had a  feed we went outside and we had a lollie scramble and all the children got lots of lollies and so did i . and then after that we had cake and when i saw the cake it was big and it looked yummy. and it was yummy. and then after that we got our goodie bags and then everybody went home and so did. and then when we got home we watched a movie and got some popcorn, and we just watched lion king two simba's pride. and that is what i did in the weekend and in the school holidays.

Yesterday my family went to the zoo to see the elephant.

Cloze Reading - On Frog Pond

It's early morning on frog pond. As the sun rises, light sparkles on the __water__1. All sorts of pond animals are waking up. __The__2 busy day is beginning. At the edge of __the__3 pond, a little green frog sits on a _pad___4 in the water. He is hidden here among __the__5 floating plants. He keeps very still and very __strong__6. His big, bulging eyes are watching. He's watching __the__7 dragonflies. He's watching for slugs and worms. He's __hungry__8 for flies. This little frog is hungry for __fly’s__9. Someone else is hungry too. A dragonfly hums _near__10 above the water. She is a fierce hunter, __hungry__11 for insects. She hovers near a clump of __bugs__12. She can fly in any direction, even backwards __and__13 sideways. Like the frog, she has very big __eyes__14. Suddenly she spots a fly crawling up a __leaf__15. She swoops down like an arrow and grabs __the__16 fly with her powerful front legs. Gripping it _then___17, she munches away at it with her sharp __body__18 parts. The little frog has seen all this __happend__19. He turns very slightly. He's ready to pounce, __and__20 he keeps very still. Cloze reading - Number one

It's Saturday morning. Rain, hail or sunshine, I get up early, and get dressed in my rugby league gear: black shorts, green-and-yellow socks, and a bright yellow jersey with green stripes and a big black number 10 on the back.
"Your jersey number 10,"    said   1 Mum, "but you're my number one!"     I     2 get to the grounds, and  can’t 3 wait to play. Mum whispers in my 4 ear. "Watch the ball all the  

time 5, son." The whistle blows. The other guys kick the ball.   we 6 all run towards it. I       hear my7 Mum's voice. "The ball, Te Hiko – get  8 the ball!" Where is it? I run. There it is! Then  I 9 hear my Mum's voice! "Grab the ball 10, son. Go!" I pick it up and  run. Mum calls out, "Hold on to 11 the ball, Te Hiko!" I try   to 12 pass it to my mates, but their 13 in the way. I tuck it  in 14 my arm and run for the  tryline 15. Oops! I'm tackled, and I crash to the  16 ground. I've lost the ball.  I 17 scramble to my feet. I've had enough. But Mum's voice   is 18 in the air, "Get the ball, !" son 19. There it is! I grab it  and 20 run. Suddenly the goal line disappears. I can't hear my Mum  any 21 more. I crash to the ground 22. And \then the whistle blows. Too hard 23 to score. I've blown it again. I look around for Mum. And  there 24 she is, all smiles. It's just  a 25 announced that I'm player of the !   day 26 She gives me a big hug. "  and   say’s 27 you, son," she says. "I told  you   28 you're my number one!"

Team 4 Trade Fair

Image result for trade and enterpriseThis term we are learning about Trade and Enterprise. Trade and Enterprise is about selling our own products. We make our own products like using loom bands to make bracelets and you can also make beanies out loom bands.

As part of our terms topic we had a trade fair.  A trade fair is where you get to sell and market your products. You have to ask them what design do they want you to make if they want to make money.

For the trade fair my friends and I have created a business called musical instruments because me and my group are a Team of musicians.

On Friday we had a trade fair day and we had to sell our project’s like cupcakes, milk shakes, cupcakes with a kit kat on top of the cup cake. Chocolate brownies, chocolate cake with pink icing and sprinkles, gingerbread men too. and also cheese cake, banana cake as well. and that team is Called the kitchen, and next up is jewels & Asisares and some of them are making loom bands, necklaces with beads.

i’m really excited about our market day coming up in week 8 so me and my friends can get PT’s and piece’s!

Count on or back to solve number problems to 100

Walt: Count on or back to solve number problems to 100
                                    today my maths group had to do Count on or back to solve number
                                    problems. and for my answer that says problem one, I did 12 because
                                    3 - 15 = 12 and problem two is 11 - 7 = 4 and number three is 17 - 9 = 8
                                    because if you count backwards from 17 like this, 16 , 15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8                                     and then it equals 8 so now do you get the answer.

with my maths group and our maths teacher first we
had to do subtractions and we did the first number and it was

11 - 2 = 9 and then on the 2nd number was 18 - 6 = 12 and we kept

doing the numbers till we were finish the take away and subtractions to.
